Volunteer Local Chapter Coordinator

You can start and run a chapter in your neighborhood from home in this fulfilling and exciting volunteer leadership post, which has no set address in Saskatoon.

You are in charge of organizing The Shoebox Project for Women's activities in your neighborhood to benefit women experiencing homelessness through our Shoebox gift drives as a local chapter coordinator.

To guarantee a successful Shoebox drive season, you will organize and coordinate the work of your local shelter organizations, community volunteers, and contributors by fostering a pleasant and encouraging environment.

Role responsibilities:

You promote The Shoebox Project with pride in your community as an ambassador; take the initiative!

- Find and coordinate volunteers to serve in a variety of support positions.

- Reach out to your local community to introduce, inform, and educate them about The Shoebox Project's mission and vision and to enlist their support for your chapter's aims.

- Develop a network of shelters and resource centers to collaborate with.

- Control chapter-specific administration

- Oversee email and social media accounts for the chapter Coordinate inspections, storage, transportation, and delivery of boxes from drop-off locations to shelters

- Assist in organizing corporate and school drives

- Bring your shoeboxes and observe the grins!

Required skills:

 Leadership/Community ties & willingness to engage your community in outreach/Administration/Social Media/Outgoing personality with extraordinary organizational skills!

Time commitment:

Flexible, must commit for more than 3 months
